Don't stay in the Corrie Room Positive: The location was great and the room was clean. Contactless check in was easy. Negative: The Corrie Room was small and the space was so poorly utilized that you literally couldn't walk around the room without knocking into something. I have stayed in smaller places that felt less cramped. There was barely any furniture, not even a chair. I think the size of the suite varies greatly at Munro Guesthouse and I would not recommend the Corrie Room. Also, it smelled funny, like stale pizza and chemicals.

Positive: Compact, but it had a lot to offer. Negative: Walls a bit thin, could hear neighbours. A bit cramped, but I was out most of the day.

Ok for a one night stay but room facilities not well thought out for a longer stay. Positive: Easy check-in both at front door and room - this is an unstaffed hotel. Fitted to a very high standard. Negative: The building looked very newly done & to a high standard, but this actually became rather overwhelming. I was one person in a double room. The bed took so much of the space that there was hardly any room to walk around it, no space for a chair or a wardrobe. The small chest of drawers was not well constructed, and at one point a drawer fell apart and I couldn’t get it open to take my clothes out. The TV didn’t have internet access as promised. There is no communal or staffed kitchen in the building, just a kettle in the room. A small fridge would’ve been really useful (and a microwave). At least then I could’ve made a coffee for myself in the morning with fresh milk. And I would’ve preferred a reasonable size bed and then a couple of comfortable chairs to sit in. It was OK, just not thought through very well.

Comfy room, close to transport and pubs with helpful staff Positive: Great room on ground floor of well-located guest house a short walk from the train station. Ideal for one person, but two people with large suitcases might want to try a larger room. Clear check-in instructions. Wonderful whisky bar, The Curly Coo, on the corner. When I stupidly left something in the room, staff were very helpful posting it back to me. Negative: Sometimes it got a wee bit cold, but I didn't want to mess with the thermostat.

Positive: No person was available there. Room was too small in size. There was no drinking water inside the room.
